Miracles do happen

On May 22, 1993, media headlines in Canada and around the world shocked millions. This event, although a horrendous crime, also afforded a tremendous miracle which has since influenced the lives and faith of many.

Early that Saturday morning, two Montreal police officers, Lucy Krasowske and her partner Walter Filipas, drove to a downtown park in Montreal to look for a suspect that had just assaulted a taxi driver. They saw a man sitting on a bench and pulled up to ask him if he had seen anything. All they had time to say was "Excuse me, sir..." when the man thrust a 9-mm pistol into their car and demanded their weapons.

As Lucy leaned over from the drivers side, the man fired the first shot at point blank range, hitting her just under her right eye, the bullet coming out the back of her neck. "My face immediately exploded in blood," she said. She opened the door and fell out, trying to take cover under the car. Her partner was hit next and then another bullet grazed her head (10 stitches worth). A third shot went right through her left leg. "I called out loud to Archangel Michael: 'Lord Michael! Help me! Help me! Help me!'" she said. (Note: Archangel Michael is the patron saint of police officers and Lucy said she had just been learning to give prayers to him a couple weeks before the incident.)*

Well indeed He did help her — and Walter, too! Doctors couldn't believe they were even alive. Her surgeon said the bullet that went through her face missed everything vital — it went in and then changed its path. The bullet through the leg magically missed arteries and bone. However, after surgery, doctors told her she would never hear again with her right ear; her right eyelid would not be able to close; and she would probably never get her smile back, and so on. Nerves had been severed, muscles and bones had major damage.

I had the opportunity to meet Lucy just a month later, thousands of miles away at a conference where she was taking my Brain Gym class. After hearing her story, I told her how I felt Health Kinesiology (HK) might also be helpful for her healing process. As fortune would have it, we discovered she lived only a couple hours from my office in Ottawa, and so in September Lucy started coming for regular sessions.

And work we did. We did almost every HK correction in the book! We did Mechanism Controls; we did Energy Flow Balancing; we did Psychological Corrections, Psycho-physiological — you name it, we did it. I must credit Lucy with being a model client. She was very diligent in doing the homework that her body's energy system designated — which was substantial, I might add.
Here is her personal testimony that she prepared for this article:

"I met Sandra Gust in Montana and I know she was the answer to my healing prayers. By God's grace and with the gifted mind and talents of Sandra working with Health Kinesiology and Brain Gym, I have avoided 2 surgeries and a muscle stimulator implant and have not taken any medication since I left the hospital."

"We have also managed to pull off a few miracles in the eyes of the doctors. I was informed I would never hear again and my hearing is now in the low normal range! The doctors also said that my face would always be distorted. It is not perfect yet, but definitely not distorted. The doctors are in awe."

"I remember one appointment in April, 1994, where their mouths literally fell open when they saw me and they could not get over the control I had in my face. They just kept asking me to open and close my eye over and over again. (This should not have been possible, according to the doctors.) One doctor said, 'Maybe we've been going about this wrong all these years."

"I am very grateful for the chance to work with Sandra and I am sure this is a gift from the heart of God. By God's grace, with 2 parts prayer and 1 part Health Kinesiology, Brain Gym and other treatments, I will manifest the Lucy smile!"

Truly we are humbled by this miracle, for are we not but instruments, facilitators, through whom the Creator can work, using precious tools that, I believe, He himself has inspired. And thank you Jimmy, for being open to this inspiration which is helping so very many. We have much to be grateful for, more than we even know.
