Addison's disease, adrenal glands
Alternative Name - adrenocortical hypofunction, chronic adrenocortical insufficiency, adrenal insufficiency
Description - adrenocortical hormone deficiency because of damage to the adrenal cortex; the damage may be caused by the immune system attacking the gland, TB, cancer, infection, etc.

Adenocarcinoma, pancreas
Description - a cancer arising in the glandular tissue of the pancreas; the most common form of pancreatic cancer

Adenoma, adrenal gland
Alternative Name - suprenal adenoma
Description - a benign tumour of the adrenal gland

Adenoma, parathyroid gland
Description - a benign tumour of the parathyroid glands, which are located in the neck and help to regulate calcium metabolism

Adenoma, pituitary gland
Description - a tumour of the anterior lobe of the pituitary gland

Description - organs responsible for producing steroid and other hormones essential for life

Description - a chronic autoimmune disease that leads to thyroid enlargement, etc.

Description - cancer arising from cells in the islets of Langerhans (hormone-producing cells in the pancreas)

Large cell carcinoma, adrenal gland
Description - a cancer of the adrenal glands in which the cells are large and look abnormal under a microscope

Myasthenia gravis, thymus
Description - an autoimmune disease that causes muscle weakness that causes muscle weakness

Myxoedema
Alternative Name - myxedema
Description - a condition in which the thyroid gland fails to produce enough thyroid hormone

Pancreas
Description - a glandular organ located in the abdomen; it makes pancreatic juices, which contain enzymes that aid in digestion, and it produces several hormones, including insulin

Description - the most common thyroid gland carcinoma, often occurring before age 40 and much more common in women than in men

Description - glands embedded in the thyroid gland; regulate calcium and phosphate levels in the blood

Thyroid
Description - a gland located beneath the voice box (larynx) that produces thyroid hormone. The thyroid helps regulate growth and metabolism
