As well as
seeing her HK clients, Hélène has a “normal” job
working in a government ministry for the protection of young children.
She is building her HK practice “smoothly and gently” in order
to make a gradual transition from her full-time work. She is also
trained in Shiatsu therapy, but says she does not like to mix therapies.
She believes in doing one thing fully.
She
got to know Dr. Scott when she was called upon to act as interpreter
for one of his early SET classes in Europe. She knew English from
her mother and various family contacts, even though they had always
lived in Belgium. She says the first interpreting job for Dr. Scott
was tough because she had very little introduction to HK and virtually
no knowledge of physiology, bacteria and other medical terminology.
In those days, Dr. Scott’s classes tended to be quite a bit less
structured. She got through it and realized just how much English
she knew!
She
personally became convinced of the effectiveness of HK when she
received a correction for Candida albicans. It was a severe infection,
yet she gained back her energy and has had no further trouble.
After that, it took her another three years to dare to work on
others. She now enjoys working with clients and also passing on
the richness of HK by teaching classes.
